Nelson Fernandez is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of B&N Talent Partners, a boutique executive search firm focused on placing operational and clinical leaders in value-based care and innovative healthcare models. Nelson brings a rare combination of lived experience, operational leadership, and recruiting expertise that allows him to understand exactly what today’s healthcare organizations need from their leaders.

Nelson spent more than 20 years in healthcare operations, serving as a VP of Operations, Interim COO, Center Director, and market leader across primary care, full-risk value-based care, managed care, oncology, and dialysis. He has led multimillion-dollar turnarounds, improved CMS quality ratings to 5-stars, supported more than 200 physicians, and built high-performing teams across multiple service lines. This background gives him an operator’s perspective, not a recruiter’s guess, when evaluating and presenting leadership talent.

Nelson’s commitment to proactive, patient-centered care is deeply personal. He completed much of his undergraduate work — homework, exams, and research papers — from an in-center dialysis chair. Years later, he went on to lead that same dialysis clinic, along with others in the region. That experience shaped his belief that the right leaders can dramatically change outcomes long before a patient reaches crisis. It’s the driving force behind his passion for recruiting exceptional leaders for risk-bearing primary care, population health, and organizations delivering care differently.

Today, Nelson partners with private-equity backed healthcare companies, growing medical groups, and value-based care organizations to help them hire the people who move metrics — not just fill roles. He focuses on placing practice managers, market leaders, directors, VPs, and physician-adjacent leaders who understand medical economics, utilization management, quality, culture, and operational excellence.

Outside of work, Nelson is a proud father of three and a strong advocate for leadership development, compassionate care, and building systems that serve patients better.

Bobbie Rodriguez is the Co-Founder and Partner of B&N Talent Partners, a boutique executive search firm specializing in operational and clinical leadership for value-based care organizations and innovative healthcare models. Bobbie brings more than a decade of healthcare operations and value-based care leadership experience, shaped by her upbringing as a second-generation healthcare operator. Inspired by her mother’s example of compassion and service, Bobbie approaches leadership and search work with a deep commitment to elevating patient care.

Throughout her career, Bobbie earned enterprise-wide recognition for leading one of the highest-performing centers in a national value-based care organization. She ranked #1 in preventable admissions and consistently placed within the top 5 out of more than 110 centers, demonstrating exceptional capability in reducing avoidable utilization and improving care coordination for high-risk populations. Bobbie is widely regarded as a subject-matter expert in operational excellence and clinical outcomes. She is frequently called upon to train new executives responsible for building organizational standards across all markets.

She has delivered system-wide presentations on hospital admission reduction strategies, sharing her evidence-based Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to help other leaders replicate her success. In addition to her operational achievements, Bobbie maintained employee engagement scores in the high 90%, reflecting her ability to build strong, motivated teams and foster a culture rooted in compassion, accountability, and continuous improvement. Bobbie brings a relationship-centered and outcomes-driven perspective to executive search, partnering closely with clients and candidates to ensure alignment, trust, and long-term success.
